So what is this?
With Wifarer on your smartphone you can easily find your way around big complex venues like universities, shopping malls, museums, airports, and convention centers in every major city in the world.
Wifarer is like GPS, but it works inside. When you open the app, an interactive map of the venue you’re currently in appears on your screen with a beacon representing your real-time location. As you move, the beacon moves too, so you always know exactly where you are.
The great thing about Wifarer is that you only have to download it once, but you can use it in a whole lot of places. That’s because Wifarer senses where you are, so when you open the app, it automatically loads the map and content for the location you are currently in, be it a shopping center in Chicago, an airport in Japan, a stadium in Toronto, a convention center in Las Vegas or a museum in Paris (lucky you!).
Wifarer has an interactive directory that makes it easy to find what you’re looking for. At the airport, you can find your departure gate and check if your flight is on time. At the shopping center, you can find the closest shoe store and see which retailers are having sales. At the museum, you can find a particular sculpture or the closest espresso. At your university, you can find Seminar Room A, or see where exhibitors’ booths are located in a Trade Show.
